A survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) reveals that, for the first time since 2007, employers are reporting a double-digit increase in their spring hiring projections. Kate Cerve reports in the Beaufort Gazette (South Carolina) that although some graduates say finding a good entry-level position is still difficult, employers surveyed planned to hire 19.3 percent more graduates this spring than a year ago.
The executive director of Clemson University’s Michelin Career Center, Flora Riley, said that job postings have “really bounced up” in the last few weeks. Said Riley, “Things are improving, but it’s gradual. You may see a real jump next year.”
