New Site Localizes Job Search in Japan

Job search engine, Simply Hired, launches a new localized destination website for Japan. With more than 200,000 available local job postings at launch, the new site will provide local job seekers with a simple online job search experience in their native language.

The site, without requiring membership, shows returning users which new listings have been added since their last visit, offers an advanced search option to return job listings that match specific criteria, and allows job seekers to search for a position by local zip code or by train station. Additionally, through its international partnership with LinkedIn, job seekers can explore their connections within companies, providing them the inside track on the hiring process.

The launch of the new localized destination website could not come at a better time. “Japan’s unemployment rate reached a six-year high of 3.61 million in August, leaving an unprecedented number of job seekers looking for work,” says Sachin Shah, Director of International, Simply Hired.
