How to Get the Best Talent NOW!

As the economy continues to make a labored recovery, companies are still cautious to increase their hiring. According to a survey by the Collegiate Employment Research Institute at Michigan State University, 36 percent of companies which hired new graduates last year are either uncertain they’ll hire or have decided they won’t hire this year. The survey found small businesses are still reluctant to hire while companies with more than 4,000 employees, or those which had preliminary hiring goals targeting new college grads, were more likely to hire in the coming year. For recent or soon-to-be college graduates, these statistics can seem confusing as they try to find a place to start their job search. For employers with limited open positions, this means you need to ensure you are interviewing only the best candidates for each job. On campus, it’s more important than ever for employers to be able to engage top talent early in their decision-making process and for students to start researching where they want to work.
